This month’s edition will focus on the added value of ethnography in relation to sustainability.

Giulia Sinatti and Marrije Prins (VU University) will present the ‘PEOPLE project’, which brings together higher education from the social sciences with industries from the sustainable living and energy sector to jointly develop and integrate people-centred development approaches as a means to achieve practical-based education as well as new categories of products, services, or business strategies.

Walter Faaij, a sustainability anthropologist working for the academy for organization culture, will give a short presentation on sustainability and changing corporate cultures through ethnography.

Thereafter we open the floor for you to join in and share your thoughts, experiences or questions with regards to ethnography and sustainability. The hosting of this month’s Ethnoborrel is made possible within the framework of the PEOPLE project, which is co-funded by the by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme.
